Chalford Baptist Church is a small but lively congregation. At the heart of our church lies a desire to know Jesus and make Him known. Our Sunday morning service includes both contemporary and traditional songs and people are encouraged to join in with flags and percussion instruments. Prayer is both corporate and individual and is spirit led. We serve our local community through Open the Book at the local Primary School, Holiday Bible Clubs in partnership with the other local churches, Children’s work in partnership with Psalms, Weekly Drop In, Food Bank collections and hospital and prison visiting. We are the lead church in the area for humanitarian aid for the thousands of refugees in Syria and Iraq and organise regular clothing collections to send out. Monthly Soup for Syria lunches raise money to buy first aid kits and pay for the fuel to send the aid. Recently we have started knitting squares to be made into blankets and this has now spread throughout the Stroud area. We also have a thriving group of dancers called the Kingdom Family Dancers who specialise in Israeli Dancing. Since we are without a minister, the ‘family’ has an opportunity to bring and share what is on their heart to a monthly open service in which we celebrate communion and enjoy a shared meal afterwards. We are always looking for new ways to engage with our local community and our doors are open to all. |

We welcome all ages and worship in a contemporary and friendly style with a variety of services and a healing prayer ministry. Holy Trinity has a long musical tradition, with an organist, music group and an informal music group, Criss Cross. The church is the home of Stroud Symphony Orchestra and hosts a wide variety of musical events and concerts. We aim to apply our faith and reach out beyond our walls to the community. There is 'Messy Church' on the first Sunday of every month and children with grown ups are very welcome. There is a lively toddler group (123, which meets at St Alban’s) on a Thursday morning. We seek to proclaim the Good News of God as members live out our Vision Statement:
'God's Love for Us Our motto is: We believe love is stronger than death. Life in all its fullness: A life worth living. We are right next door to Stroud Hospital where we help provide a chaplaincy service. We are open all day and many people call in to pray or find an oasis of peace. Do contact us or call in if you would like to know more. We look forward to meeting you. |

We believe that God is as real today ever. Around 2000 years ago he spectacularly showed his love to humankind when he sent his son Jesus into the world to live and to die for us. The Bible says, “Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs.” We aim to do that every Sunday morning at 10:00am. Sometimes with upbeat celebratory worship and sometimes in quiet reflection and thankfulness for God’s continuing involvement in our lives. We believe that the Bible is God’s relevant Word to us today. So what we teach and how we aim to live centres around that. We try to hold the Bible in one hand and today's newspaper in the other, and to make the link between God's truth, with doesn't change, and our constantly-changing world with all its dilemmas. Preaching at MBC is always Biblical, thought-provoking, memorable and life-related. Click here to listen. The Bible teaches that God is gracious and giving, full of love and truth. Joy and laughter are God’s gifts to us. At MBC we try to reflect this. We truly see God changing people’s lives, bringing wholeness and hope, restoring joy and peace, providing focus and purpose. Our 11:00am Word & Worship services are relayed by video to “Café Church” where there is a more relaxed and informal atmosphere. Here you can follow the service on the big screen while enjoying a cup of coffee and a croissant! |

There has been a church on the corner of Tabernacle Walk since 1750. Built in direct response to the preaching of George Whitefield the Tabernacle has evolved over the years, first becoming a Congregational Church and then in 1972 becoming a part of the United Reformed Church. The sanctuary was refurbished at the beginning of the 20th Century with fine examples of the work of Peter de Vaals, whilst the coach house opposite was converted by the Barnsley brothers into our 'Little Chapel'. We are blessed with a wonderful location on the very edge of Rodborough Common, which suits our non- conformist tradition and liberal approach to worship. We have a Women's Fellowship group meeting fortnightly on a Wednesday afternoon (2.30pm) and do look out for our Craft Fairs, where local craftspeople sell a varied selection of wares and you can sample the best 'bacon buttie' on the common. |

We are a lively evangelical church in the heart of Stroud with about 100 members offering a warm welcome to all visitors. Our services are a mixture of worship, prayer and teaching — we use a mixture of traditional hymns and modern songs led by a music band. Do come and try us out if you are new to the area and looking for a church. We have a children's ministry with crèche available . All our children's workers are CRB checked and we have a Safe To Grow policy to protect youngsters in the church. Not sure about Christianity? You're still welcome to join in. We have regular teaching using stories from the bible with clear explanations. All the members have a story to tell about their own spiritual journeys, and they'll be interested in yours. Come along. You'll be welcome. |
